Embark on a transformative 14-day Women Tour to Nepal, designed to celebrate, empower, and connect women through an immersive blend of cultural, spiritual, and ethical experiences. This tour offers a rich tapestry of activities that highlight the vibrant traditions, natural beauty, and spiritual heritage of Nepal, providing an unforgettable journey tailored exclusively for women.
Teej Festival – Celebrate Sisterhood in Red
At the core of this extraordinary tour is the Teej Festival, a vibrant celebration dedicated to women that encapsulates the spirit of sisterhood, joy, and cultural heritage. Teej is one of Nepal’s most significant and vibrant festivals, honoring the goddess Parvati and her union with Lord Shiva. It is a time when women gather to celebrate their strength, unity, and devotion through traditional rituals, music, and dance.
Experiencing Teej:
- Traditional Attire and Rituals: Begin your Teej celebration by donning a traditional red sari, a symbol of purity and devotion. Local women will guide you through the art of draping the sari, a graceful and empowering experience that connects you with the cultural essence of Nepal. The day is filled with rituals that include fasting, prayer, and offerings to the goddess, reflecting the deep cultural significance of the festival.
- Festive Celebrations: Join local women in the streets as they sing traditional Teej songs, dance in vibrant circles, and share stories of the festival’s significance. The atmosphere is filled with joyous music, colorful decorations, and a sense of community. Participating in these celebrations allows you to witness and be a part of the cultural expressions that make Teej a joyous occasion.
- Cultural conversations and Exchange: Engage in meaningful conversations with Nepali women about their traditions, customs, and experiences. This exchange fosters a deeper understanding of the festival’s importance and provides a unique perspective on the role of women in Nepali society.

Following the Teej festivities, your journey continues with a range of cultural and spiritual activities designed to provide a profound connection with Nepal’s heritage.

This stupa also relates itself to the history of creation of Kathmandu Valley as how Manjushree, a Buddhist monk, saw a huge lotus emanating bright light at the centre of the lake. So he cut a deep gorge allowing the water to drain from the lake because he wanted to observe and worship the lotus where it is said that Swayambhunath is situated.

Nepal Teej festival is a great festival to dance and celebrate together with Nepalese women of all ages. These ‘pote’ are necklaces that are made of strands of glass beads and generally worn on a regular basis as a symbol of marriage. It fulfills the same function as a ring in the Western world. Sometimes a gold pendant is added to the necklace and then it’s called a tilhari. No better way to celebrate Teej than by dressing up in Nepali style yourself.
