Overview

Mountain sickness generally occurs when travelers are drawn to high altitude place( more than 3000m). Mountain sickness is also called as altitude sickness primarily consists of a severe headache due to deficiency of oxygen. The major symptoms of Mountain sickness are: Headache, Vomiting, Nausea, Sleepiness, Confusion, Dizziness, Weakness, Heavy Legs, Breathing Irregularity.

In case of appearance of any of the given symptoms, stop and relax and drink fluids frequently. The best remedy for altitude sickness is to descend to a Lower elevation immediately. Do not ascend to higher altitude once you recognize the symptoms of Altitude sickness.
