Royal Trek

Royal Trek or the short Annapurna trek is the best option for trekkers who want to explore trek trails near the Annapurna region. Trekkers can experience village life while walking on the scenic trail. Along with this, they can view the Himalayan mountain, enriching the overall journey.

Journey to Royal Trek

Annapurna short trek starts with a scenic drive to the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara. Here, you can enjoy a relaxing evening along the edges of Fewa Lake. You can also enjoy the close-up view of Mt. Machapuchare along with other snow peaks. Moving on with our trek, we now have to pass through beautiful Gurung villages, which gives us an opportunity to observe the rural lifestyle.

Besides that, trekkers can even learn about the local communities, their history, and cultures if they wish to. Likewise, you can receive many meaningful cultural experiences from the diverse mix of people and cultures that inhabit this region.

In this Annapurna Royal Trek, we can enjoy stunning views of the impressively built hillside rice terraces, the magnificent Annapurna range, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Mt. Langtang. Lastly, our trip ends at the scenic Begnas Lake, which is about 30 km west of Pokhara City.

The cost of the Royal Trek varies based on the duration, services included, and whether it’s a group or private trek. Generally, prices range from USD 400 to USD 1,000. This typically covers accommodation, meals during the trek, guide and porter services, transportation, and necessary permits. Group treks often offer discounts, while private treks may be on the higher end of the price spectrum.

Permits Required:

Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP): USD 30 (approximately NPR 3,000); for SAARC nationals, it’s around NPR 200.
Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) Card: USD 20 for individual trekkers; USD 10 for those in groups.

Best Time to Trek:

The optimal seasons for the Royal Trek are March to May and September to November, when the weather is clear and the trails are in good condition.

day 01
Arrival
Welcome by our representative at the airport, transfer to hotel in Kathmandu. Later enjoy a Welcome Dinner in the Evening.
Stay overnight at Kathmandu.
day 02
Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley(Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square)
After breakfast we are going to do some sightseeing activities today. As planned, we are going to explore some of the most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu city: Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple and lastly Kathmandu Durbar Square and evening drive back to hotel.
Stay overnight at Kathmandu.
day 03
Drive to Pokhara
After having our early breakfast we drive towards Pokhara. Pokhara is situated 200 km west of Kathmandu, is the most important tourist destination after Kathmandu. This is the entry point for famous Trekking routes to Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Mustang region. It is a meeting point for nature and culture.Trails for different excursions and hiking are available to suit individual interest and needs. When the weather permits one can enjoy the panoramic view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range hardly 25km away from Pokhara. One can enjoy the tranquility and peace while doing boating at Fewa Lake in one hand and see the grand view of the snow clad mountains on the other.

Trek from Pokhara to Kalikasthan (1524 m, 3-4 hrs)
After having our instant meal, we drive towards Bijaypur Army Camp. Then we start the trek. Trail initiates in rice fields then ascends through the village of Rakhigaun to Chutara. Climbing gently along a ridge top through few villages of Brahmins & Chhetris we head towards kalikasthan at end of the day.
Stay overnight at Kalikasthan.
day 05
Trek from Kalikasthan to Syaklung (1730 m)
As always we start our trek after having our breakfast. Crossing through various tea houses, today the trail continues along the forested ridge top through Thulokot to Moti Thana. After a short climb we arrive at Naudanda. Continue along the ridge to a school at Lipini Village. We arrive at Gurung village of Syaklung after steep but short climb through forests.
Stay overnight at Syaklung.
day 06
Trek from Syaklung to Chisopani
After having our breakfast we go for great views of snow capped mountains from Annapurna Himalayan Range to Lamjung Himal, Manaslu and Himchuli. Slowly we head towards Chautara and we head towards Begnas Lake. The Royal trekking trail then ascends towards Chisopani.
Stay overnight at Chisopani.
day 07
Trek from Chisopani to Pokhara
It is the final day of our Royal Trek. We trek from Chisopani along the ridge and stone steps, visit Begnas and Rupa lake and finally end our trek after heading back towards Pokhara.

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
Have breakfast in Pokhara and drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu. Lunch on the way to Kathmandu.
At evening Farewell Dinner.
Stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Departure
After breakfast transfer to the airport to fly to onward destination
