Visit to historical place of Nepal  gives us an insight to ancient Nepalese art, culture and architecture.  We will visit number of museums around the Kathmandu valley . It exhibits antiques, weapons, artifacts and other ancient specimens which hold the great historical importance for Nepalese.

We start our one day tour to historical places of Nepal ,Kathmandu by visiting the National museum located at walking distance from Swoyambhunath stupa. There is huge collection of arts, artifacts, weapons used by Gurkha army. It also  includes the huge portraits of ancient Nepalese Kings and rulers.

Then after we head towards Museum of natural history at foothill of Swoyambhunath stupa. There are wide collection of butterflies, insects and botanical plants.

Further we will be visiting Hanuman Dhoka Museum inside Kathmandu durbar square palace. The Palace was home for Malla kings who ruled Kathmandu for many years.

The king’s procession and other important rituals were performed here in Hanuman Dhoka Palace. Next we will be at National Bronze Art Museum in Patan Durbar Square.  At there you can find fine collection of art works crafted by local craftsmen. The hundreds of antiques exhibited here dates back to 15th century till date which majority shows the dual mix of Hindu and Buddhist culture.

Finally we take a short drive to Bhaktapur and visit National wood-working museum in Dattatreya temple Square. The Bhaktapur is famous for pottery and wood works which is still the  major profession for locals.

Finally after visiting all the major museums inside Kathmandu valley we head back towards the hotel and then our one day  tour at museum in Nepal ,Kathmandu comes to an end.

  • Short Sightseeing of Syambhunath Stupa and visit to the National Museum, the most famous and significant museum of Nepal that lies a few kilometers walk down from swayambhunath stupa. Later visit to Tribhuvan Museum, located in the Hanuman Dhoka Palace. Visit to the Museum of Natural History, nearby the Swayambhunath Hill to find the display of Himalayan butterflies, snakes and plants. Later visit to The National Bronze Art Museum to explore fine art works that represents both Hindu and Buddhist religion and Buddhist religions, the art work ranges from Malla period to the later period.
