We start our one day tour to historical places of Nepal ,Kathmandu by visiting the National museum located at walking distance from Swoyambhunath stupa. There is huge collection of arts, artifacts, weapons used by Gurkha army. It also includes the huge portraits of ancient Nepalese Kings and rulers.
Then after we head towards Museum of natural history at foothill of Swoyambhunath stupa. There are wide collection of butterflies, insects and botanical plants.
Further we will be visiting Hanuman Dhoka Museum inside Kathmandu durbar square palace. The Palace was home for Malla kings who ruled Kathmandu for many years.
The king’s procession and other important rituals were performed here in Hanuman Dhoka Palace. Next we will be at National Bronze Art Museum in Patan Durbar Square. At there you can find fine collection of art works crafted by local craftsmen. The hundreds of antiques exhibited here dates back to 15th century till date which majority shows the dual mix of Hindu and Buddhist culture.
Finally we take a short drive to Bhaktapur and visit National wood-working museum in Dattatreya temple Square. The Bhaktapur is famous for pottery and wood works which is still the major profession for locals.
