Machhapuchhre Mardi Himal Trek is a newly opened trekking route in Nepal which is also commonly referred as Machhapuchhre Model Trek. Trekkers are presented with eye-catching brilliant views of snow-capped mountains, diversified flora and fauna along with a personal look at the lifestyle and traditions of the local communities.
The beginning phase of our journey takes us to Pokhara from Kathmandu city and then continues onward to Phedi town where we start our trekking towards Pothana village. With a perfect blend of rich natural trails and cultural heritage of diverse ethnic groups like Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Damai, Kami, Sarki, and Brahmins, the magnificent views of nearby Himalayas like Mt. Mardi, Mt. Machhapuchhre, and Annapurna Himalayan ranges can be thoroughly enjoyed during the trekking period.
Moreover, the west base camp of Mardi Himal is one of the major viewpoint of this trek where stunning Himalayan sceneries can be relished upon by it’s visitors. Additionally, we get an opportunity to experience the fascinating combination of rich flora & fauna, mountain forest, varied bird species and natural hot springs which are some of the supplementary attractions for all kinds of travelers and explores. The Mardi river valley in Rivan & Lahachok area is an appropriate place for activities like swimming, fishing and watching various species of migrant birds. Other attractions include a tea garden and a natural cave formed by rock & limestone. Later, after reaching Mardi Himal Base Camp, we are planned to descend back down by passing through villages of Karchon, Hile Kharka, Annate Thanti and ultimately get back to Pokhara city where we plan on ending our trek.
Even though this trek can be done all throughout the entire year, it is largely recommended during Spring months of March to May and Autumn months of September to November.
